Well, my PC has kicked the bucket. I'm typing this from my laptop. My good 'ol HP has served me well for the 5 years it ran, if 4 people weren't abusing it, it might have lasted longer. So, I'm gonna try to send it in to HP, maybe they can get it fixed (hopeful without formatting my hard drive). If not, expect posting to slow down, and the photoshops will be put to a halt.

If it comes down to it, I will get a new PC. It'll be another HP. The only downside to it is it will have Vista, but I'll gladly pay to have it downgraded to XP.

Until then, You might not be hearing much from me for now.

UPDATE: Motherboard is dead, and I'm not going to pay the same price of getting a new PC for 1 circuit board.

Woo, my return to General has yielded good results. Expect to see more posts on the weekends for now. But wait, winter break is on after Friday so...expect a fuckton of posts.

Anyway, as some know, I'm saving money for a trip to Pittsburgh this July. However, this is proving harder to do than I thought. I only have about $25 at the moment. My goal is $1000. I always could ask my grandparents for some help with it, but I don't really want to seem like a beggar. Though, since they can afford to go to Egypt and what-not, I'm pretty sure asking for $900 for my own trip wouldn't really bother them.

In other works, I'm having a bit of trouble getting some projects together. Mainly, an idea for a comic I'm trying to write out (you've probably guessed it, it will be anthropomorphic style). I have the ideas and what-not all written out (there's at least 200 currently), but putting them in order is kind of hard. Another problem with it is trying to find a willing artist, preferably someone I could sit down and talk it over with so they get what I'm going for. But the only kind of people who I'd find like that out here in the suburbs are most likely in the community college. A place which I plan to never attend academically.

Besides all that, I'm trying to find a band that will play the music I need to make a demo for my vocals. Sadly, all the bands I think would be able to play the songs I want (listed below) are leaning more towards the shitty nu-metal scene. So hope of actually joining a band out here is little next to none because of creative differences. Most of the songs for said demo will be cover songs, as I'm not really all that good at writing lyrics.

Also, on Saturdays, I'll be wasting 6 hours for movie streaming by some generous people. The first night was the whole Evil Dead trilogy and Die Hard 4. Last week was a furry's paradise: Fox And The Hound, Robin Hood, and The Lion King. Idk what'll be playing next week, but I hope they keep up the streak of win they have going with it.

Well, I got everything running almost as usual. It seems 2 Trojans were hiding in the system's volume control (how the fuck, idk). The only difference from it running normal is that TF2 and other Source games won't start. All seem to have the problem with shaderapidx9.dll, so I tried scanning, and even downloading a new version of it, and still the same fucking message every time I try to start a game.

I feel like I should have this thing professionally looked at. Which would be better in the long run. Before I took it in, I'd need to hide all the porn on my laptop.

Anyone else ever have this type of problem when trying to run games powered by Source?

My PC is fucked at the moment. MSN won't start, TF2 won't start, random freezes. Doing everything I can to find out what's wrong here. Defragmented, system restore, deleted unused/unneeded shit virus scan going now.

Anyone with any idea of what to do here, your help would be greatly appreciated.
